Wow, that sounds like what my high school was like a decade ago. I knew that these kids were being pressured into acting older way too soon but goodness.. Laker Girls? Getting kids hooked on caffeine if they promise not to do other drugs?

I think we are definitely sending Aub to a private Christian school...If we can at all afford it (Pretty hard with what they pay us). I guess I had better buy up all my expensive camera gear now, to get me through the 13 years of sending kids (we are planning on having one more) to private school cause from what i hear, high school is even worse!!!!

By the way, he blog rocks, I added your RSS feed to my RSS list. When I get my hosting situation figured out, I will be turning admiller.com into my personal blog, and use admillerphoto.com for my pics. And I may use Wordpress as well.

My wife and I are both over 50 parents of a seven year old, our only child. We are fortunate enough to be able to be pretty involved with her life ( she wants us to and we can). I doubt that it much different there in Florida than Texas which means I'm now going to sleep even less! Like you we often observe that the parents aren't as "mature" as the children! I had a run in with my daughters dance instructor two years ago ( age five at the time) over makeup at a dance recital! Many of the parents happily had their kids made up like models, or pole dancers!
And I'm a child of the 60's-- so my comments arent coming from a particularly conservative background!!
